Privacy Policy

How the TAT FEI AGENCY website handles the information you enter.

1. Who we are

This website, tatfeiagency.com.my, is operated by TAT FEI AGENCY (M) SDN BHD (Registration No. 202401010287 (1556137-A)), trading as TAT FEI AGENCY, a general insurance and JPJ services provider with 5 branches in Johor. Selected services are available to customers nationwide across Malaysia; other services are local to our branch areas (Senai, Kulai and Bandar Tenggara). This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

2. Information we collect

Depending on the service you select in our enquiry form, we may collect: your name and contact/WhatsApp number; your vehicle's registration number, type and model; your Owner IC number or Company Registration Number (required for motor insurance and road tax enquiries, so we can process your quotation or request without delay); your postcode; the service, renewal period, and any extra coverage you select (including any additional coverage you describe yourself); whether your vehicle is used for e-hailing; relevant dates such as a policy, road tax, licence or Autopass expiry date; and any other information you choose to add in the form's notes field.

The form does not ask you to upload documents, and this website does not take payments, create customer accounts, or collect information beyond what is needed for the service you select.

3. How the enquiry form works

  • Your answers are used on your own device to prepare a WhatsApp message. The website does not send your answers to a TAT FEI AGENCY server or store them in a database.
  • The prepared message is copied to your device's clipboard so you can paste it into WhatsApp.
  • When you tap Open WhatsApp, a chat with our enquiry number opens. Your details are not included in the WhatsApp web address.
  • Nothing reaches us until you paste the message into WhatsApp and press Send yourself.

4. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to: prepare quotations; process your enquiry or request; provide the insurance, road tax, and other JPJ-related services you ask for; communicate with you about your enquiry; follow up on requested services; maintain necessary business and service records; and comply with applicable Malaysian legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.

5. Sharing your information

To provide the service you request, we may share necessary details with: the insurance or takaful company you choose; government agencies such as JPJ; PUSPAKOM; and the payment or financing provider you select for an instalment plan. We only share what is necessary to provide the service you asked for.

6. Website hosting and technical processing

This website is delivered using third-party service providers and technical infrastructure (for example, hosting, content-delivery and security services) that support how the website operates and how services are provided to you. These providers may automatically process standard technical information — such as your IP address, browser type, and request timestamps — in order to deliver, secure and maintain the website. We do not claim a specific country or data-centre location for this technical processing.

This is separate from the WhatsApp messaging described in Section 3 and Section 9 below — it relates only to ordinary website delivery, not to the content of any enquiry you send us.

7. How long we keep it

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested services, maintain appropriate business and service records, comply with applicable Malaysian legal, tax, accounting or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our applicable agreements. When records are no longer required for these purposes, they are deleted or securely disposed of.

8. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use its own cookies, local storage, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioural tracking technologies, and we do not use Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, or similar tools. Our hosting and security infrastructure (see Section 6) may set its own strictly necessary technical cookies as part of delivering and securing the website. If our use of cookies or analytics changes in the future, this policy will be updated first. IC numbers and other sensitive details you enter must never be sent to any analytics or advertising tool.

9. Your rights and data deletion requests

You may ask to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia), by contacting us using the details in Section 10. You can also choose not to use the enquiry form at all, and instead call, WhatsApp, or visit a branch directly.

To request deletion of your data, you may send "DELETE MY DATA" to us via WhatsApp, or submit a written request using the contact details below. We aim to respond to data requests within 30 days. Because this website itself does not store your enquiry (see Section 3), a deletion request relates to the records we hold after receiving your message — for example, in our WhatsApp or business messaging records — rather than to the website.

10. Contact

WhatsApp or call 018-766 4895, email [email protected], message us on Facebook, or visit any of our branches.

11. Other third-party services

Messages you send us on WhatsApp are carried by WhatsApp, which is operated by a third party under its own terms and privacy policy. Links to Google Maps and Facebook on this website also open services operated by third parties under their own policies. A quotation, cover or service is only confirmed after our team has checked your details and you have agreed to proceed — please do not send full IC or document images until our team asks for them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent revision.

Last updated: 30 September 2026.
